Volunteer Day

What a special day for KSJ today!

Our school grounds have been developed by a completely amazing group of volunteer helpers.

The jobs included:-

  • Clearing the pond area
  • removing rotting benches
  • painting the sports day benches - in house colours
  • creating an outdoor set of dominoes
  • creating a hopscotch patch
  • relocating, securing and covering our willow castles, teepee and maze
  • removing all overgrown, tattered and entwined bushes from the playground, remove excess soil, compact ground, weedproof and cover in cheshire pink pebble.
  • paint planters
  • willow weaving with Sarah Gallagher-Hayes to create an enormous crocodile
  • reconstruct our willow tunnel
  • lay a mosaic spiral around the tree in the sensory, reflective circle
  • scrape back the perimeter pathway
  • remove compacted compost area and overgrown bushes, add old tyres and paint them.  Add weed proofing and cheshire pink gravel.
  • all children to decorate a pebble, add this to a cemented area as a welcome into school.
  • create a fairy garden
  • paint Esio Trot
