Friday 7th October

Date: 7th Oct 2016 @ 9:18pm

I really enjoyed celebration worship this week.  The school hall was so full of smiling faces and positivity.

It was an awful lot to try to cram in and we went well passed 9.40!  But then we usually do.

Following Celebration worship I finished preparing Class 2 homework and then had a mad filing session of lots of important letters and evidence to support the school SEF.

I then had a meeting at Church House in Daresbury to meet with the heads of other small, rural schools.

It was a reallly refreshing meeting looking at the ways in which we can work together in order to improve outcomes for the children in our schools.

There was a common consensus that leading a small, rural, church school was a huge privilege with many positive attributes, not least the pleasure of nurturing confident, enthusiastic and caring individuals.  The flexibility and personalised learnign that comes with the small schools certainly makes positive outcomes for children.

But then there are tight constraints too that make the role difficult at times.  These include many heads with a teaching committment, many people wearing different hats  and leading more curriculum areas and also financial stability difficulties.

Together we hope to continue to build our relationships and continue our successful journeys sharing and supporting each other.
