September 2021 intake

Kingsley St John's is a CE AIded Primary School.  If you wish to apply based upon your faith, due to the covid pandemic, there is no requirement for church attendance, but ther will still be a requirement for a faith reference.

Applications for children starting school in Reception are submitted and dealt with centrally by Cheshire West and Chester Council. Parents are welcome to visit the school.

 Applications open from 1st September 2020 and must be submitted by 15th January 2021.

Kingsley St John's has a PAN admission number of 13 per year group.

1st September 2020 - Reception admission for September 2021 application opens

15th January 2021 - Reception admission for September 2021 application closes

15th February 2021 - Deadline for receipt of supporting documentation

16th April 2021 - Reception place offers released

30th April 2021 - Deadline for accepting / declining offers.

After 30th April 2021 - Waiting lists prepared, late applications processed and vacancies allocated

17th May 2021 - Appeals application deadlines

By 16th July 2021 - Appeal hearings

In Year Transfers 

Applications for in-year transers are the responsibility of the school.

We currently have spaces in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 ONLY.

To enquire about a place and/or organise a visit to Kingsley St John's CE Aided Primary School, please phone the school office.

You should let the Headteacher of your current school know you are planning to take your child out of school before you visit the new school.


If you wish to apply, an application form must be completed, which are available from the school office or can be accessed on the Cheshire West and Chester Council website. Parents will receive a reply within five working days of submitting an application with a decision either confirming a start date or a reason why a place cannot be offered. Parents have the right to appeal if the application is declined.

The school is not allowed to maintain a waiting list.

For any children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities, our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) will be consulted to assist with any arrangments.
